“This work started in an art challenge. I outlined the anchor and later decided to use it in a finished work. It was spontaneous, and I had no idea what to expect before the painting process. I simply started it and then I added the hand holding the anchor by a line. Then I realised the hand was not actually holding it, it was releasing it. “Freedom” is the name of this work.”
